Wales Sights and Museums
WHAT TO SEE - Tredegar House: located in Newport is one of the best examples of a 17th century Charles II mansion in Britain.
- Ogof Craig a Ffynnon (Welsh for "Rock and Fountain Cave"). It is renowned as one of the most well-decorated caves in Britain.
- The Castle and Old College building in Aberystwyth, which is a historic market town, administrative centre and holiday resort within Ceredigion, Mid Wales.
- Harlech Castle, built in 1290, is one of the UK’s most familiar strongholds. It seems to grow out of the rock on which it stands.

EVENTS
- March, 1: St. David's Day, the patron saint of Wales.
- May, 1: Calan Mai or Calan Haf, which means the first day of summer. Celebrations start on the evening before, known as May Eve, with bonfires.
- November, 1: Calan Gaeaf . The night before is Nos Calan Gaeaf or Ysbrydnos, when spirits are abroad. People avoid churchyards, stiles, and crossroads, since spirits are thought to gather there.
- December, 1-3: St Nicholas Christmas Market, a fair that replicates the atmosphere of a German outdoor Christmas market. An opportunity to buy products for Christmas or to enjoy hot soup and other delicacies on the harbour-side.

? Holyhead to Dublin - the Stena HSS from Dun Loaghaire to Holyhead. Ferries leave every 4-5 hours and take about 99 minutes to cross the Irish Sea. Alternatively, Irish Ferries run several services daily.
